The three questions that separate them

Feature lists across these platforms look broadly similar. These are the answers that actually differ, and they are worth getting in writing from whoever you choose.

What does it cost over three years, including setup? A $997 setup fee on top of $249 a month is roughly $9,960 across three years. Title Engine's $99 plan with no setup is about $3,564 over the same period. Run the arithmetic on whichever tiers you are actually comparing before the feature lists persuade you either way.

Are you signing an annual term? TitleCapture's Essential and Engaged plans are an annual term billed monthly. TitleTap and Title Engine both say no contract. TitleThrive does not publish terms.

Do you own the site and the domain? Title Engine states that you do. None of the other three address it on their pricing pages — which is not an accusation, just a gap you should close before signing. Ask in writing what happens to your website and your domain the day you cancel.

What each competitor's headline feature really gets you

Each of the three leads with something that sounds compelling. Here is what to check before it persuades you.

TitleTap's content library. Roughly 100 video FAQs, 100 blog posts and 100 social posts — the same library issued to every TitleTap customer. Hundreds of title agency sites publishing identical articles is duplicate content, and Google ranks one of them. It fills a site; it rarely makes one rank.

TitleCapture's workflow platform. Genuinely strong — branded app, net sheets, loan estimates, buyer estimates. Note that Essential and Engaged are an annual term billed monthly, the setup fee mirrors a month's licensing, and additional fee schedules cost extra. If you close in several counties with different schedules, price that out before comparing monthly figures.

TitleThrive's positioning. Sound thinking about keeping the website out of the path of sensitive data. Their pricing page publishes a monthly figure and references a setup fee without naming it, and states no contract terms — so ask for all three in writing before you compare them on price.

We will tell you to stay put if that's the right answer

Send us your current site. We will walk it and tell you honestly whether replacing it is worth the money — and if it isn't, whether adding calculators for $49 a month gets you most of the benefit.

Frequently asked questions

Which title company website platform is cheapest?

On published pricing, Title Engine starts lowest at $49/mo to add calculators and forms to an existing site and $99/mo for a custom website, with no setup fee. TitleCapture's Website Builder is $99/mo and its Essential plan $199/mo. TitleTap starts at $249/mo plus a $997 setup fee. TitleThrive publishes $349/mo. Figures from each company's pricing page, August 2026.

Which ones charge a setup fee?

TitleTap publishes $997 to $1,997 depending on plan. TitleCapture states a one-time setup fee that mirrors the monthly licensing fee for your platform. TitleThrive references a setup fee but does not publish the amount. Title Engine charges none.

Do any of them lock you into a contract?

TitleCapture's Essential and Engaged plans are an annual term billed monthly. TitleTap states no contracts, pay as you go. TitleThrive does not publish contract terms. Title Engine has no long-term contract and a 60-day money-back guarantee.

Do I own my website with these platforms?

Title Engine states you do — the domain stays in your name and the site goes with you. None of the other three address ownership on their pricing pages. Whichever you choose, ask in writing what happens to your site and domain when you cancel, and get the answer before you sign.

What should I check on TitleCapture?

The total cost. Their quoting platform is genuinely strong, but Essential and Engaged are an annual term billed monthly, the one-time setup fee mirrors a month's licensing, and additional fee schedules cost extra. If you close across counties with different schedules, price that before comparing monthly figures.

What should I check on TitleTap?

Whether the content library can actually rank. The same roughly 100 video FAQs, 100 blog posts and 100 social posts go to every TitleTap customer, so hundreds of title agency sites publish identical articles. Google treats that as duplicate content and ranks one of them. Day-one volume is not the same as content that earns traffic.

What should I check on TitleThrive?

What is not published. Their pricing page gives a monthly figure, references a setup fee without naming the amount, and states no contract terms or ownership position. Ask for all three in writing before comparing them on price.

How do I actually choose?

Work out what you will pay across three years including setup, ask each vendor in writing whether you own the site and domain, and check whether routine changes are metered. Those three answers separate these platforms more than any feature list does.
